I’m so happy to write for the GetBackers. While I’ve never finished the manga, for obvious reasons, I love the anime and some of these boys are my favourite boys of all time! I hope anyone familiar with the fandom will enjoy these headcanons for Shido, based off this prompt here!

2-4 songs that are probably on their iPod?

Shido doesn’t actually own an iPod or any music device. He’s not really that into most music, with most of what he likes being what Madoka plays. And he doesn’t need an iPod to listen to that, since she plays for him often, because she knows he enjoys listening to her as much as she loves playing for him.

The one place they sometimes end up falling asleep, where they’re not supposed to?

I think Shido sleeps easiest outside, even when he does shack up with Madoka, and he has a bad habit of falling asleep on the lawn or especially of falling asleep up in a tree.

The game they’d destroy everyone else at?

Don’t bother trying to play hide and seek with Shido because there is no way, like zero percent chance, that you will win. He’s beyond amazing at that games to the point where he would often get accused of cheating. And maybe he does cheat, just a little, by talking to the animals around but he’s just using all the skills at his disposal.

The emoticon they’d use most often?

Shido doesn’t really get texting and he’s very, very bad at it. He won’t understand emoticon’s unless they’re super obvious…he’ll know the smiley face does mean that you’re happy or smiling but some of the other ones will read like ancient hieroglyphs to him.

What they act like when they haven’t had enough sleep?

Shido gets really cranky when he doesn’t get enough sleep. He’ll be irritable, snappish, and will just want to be left alone and to have peace and quiet. As much as he loves Madoka, he’ll even want space from her at these times.

Their preferred hot beverage on really cold nights, or mornings, or whenever?

Shido likes coffee in the mornings but tea at night. He’s a really big fan of peppermint tea in particular, just plain, before bed.

How they like to comfort/care for themselves when they’re in a slump?

He gets away from everything, seeking out the most secluded spots he can get, preferably in nature. When he’s feeling down or bothered in the least, he needs to reconnect with nature, surround himself with his friends in the animal kingdom, and just get away from people and noise so that he can get his head back in order.

What they wanted to be when they grew up?

Shido never dreamed about what he wanted to be when he grew up. Honestly, he didn’t, and still doesn’t, believe that he’ll live into old age. He focuses on the present, on the current moment, and lives as in the moment as he can instead of wondering about the future.

Their favourite kind of weather?

Shido prefers clear, bright days. While he’s not a fan of the sweltering summer, he also really hates the cold, so fall or spring days where the sky is blue and birdsong is all around…those are his ideal days.

Thoughts on their singing voice (decent? terrible? soprano? alto?)

I honestly strongly headcanon that Shido isn’t a bad singer. He has an ear for music and just naturally understands pitch and tempo. Living with Madoka allows him to even better hone that ability. I think, more or less, that he just doesn’t sing often and that, when he does, his voice always sounds like it’s been out of use for a long time, with a bit of gravel and hesitancy to it.

How/what they like to draw or doodle?

He doesn’t draw or doodle often but is artistically gifted, at least when it comes to drawing animals. Anything else he’s rubbish at. But animals…they look almost realistic if he takes his time and isn’t just rushing out a hurried drawing.

Desde el debut en telenovelas de Giannina Fruttero hasta el regreso de Juan Falcón a la TV: los policías que investigarán el crimen de “Secretos de familia”.

Como en todo thriller y más aún en donde se debe investigar un crimen, el grupo de policías que está detrás de la verdad es clave. Y eso pasará también en “Secretos de familia”, la teleserie nocturna que Canal 13 prepara para estrenar en marzo próximo.

Cabe recordar que la nueva historia que llegará al prime de la mencionada señal televisiva se centrará en “Elena Valdés” (Daniela Ramírez), una talentosa pediatra que vive en Madrid y que hace 15 años salió de Chile cargando profundos traumas de su infancia y adolescencia, prometiéndose nunca más retornar. Sin embargo, luego de un llamado de su hermana “Sara” (Florencia Berner), que le ruega desesperadamente regresar al país, “Elena” decide viajar de vuelta a Chile y a su natal Pirque… aunque ya es muy tarde. A su llegada, su hermana está desaparecida y más tarde es encontrada muerta: supuestamente se suicidó… pero luego descubrirá que fue asesinada.

“Elena” empieza, así, una búsqueda para llegar a la verdad tras la muerte de su querida “Sara”, en donde irá descubriendo las turbiedades y grandes secretos que oculta su familia, liderada por su abuelo “Octavio Cruchaga” (Francisco Reyes) y los tres hijos de éste: “Raquel” (Mariana Loyola), “Alfonso” (Nicolás Saavedra) y “Gerardo” (Álvaro Gómez), quienes están a cargo de una renombrada clínica de fertilidad.

Los policías que investigarán el caso serán el prefecto “Óscar Zapata” (Ramón Llao), “Pedro Sotomayor” (Juan Falcón), “Daniel Salvatierra” (Claudio Castellón), “Heriberto Jara” (Raúl Hoffmann) y “Sofía Campos” (Giannina Fruttero).

De esta manera, la única mujer del grupo será interpretada por la alabada y joven actriz Giannina Fruttero, quien luego de una exitosa participación en series como “Ramona”, “Zamudio: perdidos en la noche” y “La cacería: las niñas de Alto Hospicio”, ahora debutará en el mundo de las telenovelas con “Secretos de familia”. 

“Siento mucho gusto por llegar a hacer teleseries, un formato que requiere de gran trabajo y que implica un aprendizaje gigantesco por la cantidad de escenas que hay que hacer día a día y por cómo vas construyendo un personaje a lo largo de varios meses”, comenta la actriz, quien en 2022 saltó a la escena de la ficción internacional y se lució como una de las integrantes del reparto de la serie de Netflix “Smiley”, la cual realizó en España, país al que se fue a vivir en el último tiempo.  

Concretamente, su rol en “Secretos de familia”, “Sofía Campos”, nació en Iquique en el seno de una familia de clase media. Su padre era detective y desde niña ella supo que seguiría los pasos de él. Decidida, audaz, responsable, inteligente y con una orientación sexual hacia las mujeres, “Sofía” destaca en la actualidad como una brillante funcionaria de la PDI y es ahí en donde se enfrentará al caso más complejo de su carrera: la muerte de “Sara Valdés”. Es que no se trata de un caso más, en razón de que “Sofía” está vinculada emocionalmente con alguien de la familia “Cruchaga” y hoy, más que nunca, querrá llegar a descubrir al culpable de una muerte que ella no perdonará jamás.

Por otra parte, sobresaldr�� “Pedro Sotomayor”, representado por Juan Falcón, quien volverá a las teleseries tras haber estado en “Verdades ocultas” y quien retornará a estar en una teleserie de Canal 13 luego de 14 años. En dicha estación debutó en la pantalla chica a principios de los años noventa y estuvo en producciones dramáticas tan recordadas como “Adrenalina”, “Brujas” y “Papi Ricky”, por ejemplo.

“Pedro” es un policía que estará involucrado en investigar el caso de “Sara Valdés”. No obstante, será un hombre marcado por el interés, la ambición y el gusto por el dinero. De ahí que sea muy fácil de caer en la corrupción y esté lejos de querer llegar a la verdad en su trabajo. “Estoy muy contento de volver a hacer teleseries y en un canal con el que tengo un vínculo importante. En el 13 partió mi carrera y retornar a estos lados es muy especial y significativo, además que lo hago con un personaje con varias caras, lo cual siempre es entretenido de interpretar”, confiesa el actor de origen cubano.

En tanto, Claudio Castellón, a quien se ha podido ver en teleseries de Mega como “Pobre novio”, “La ley de Baltazar” y “Como la vida misma”, reaparecerá en Canal 13 como “Daniel Salvatierra”. Se trata de un sub-prefecto, hombre esforzado, de gran temple y que toda su vida ha luchado por llegar al lugar en el cual está hoy. Y puede ir por más, porque aparece como gran opción para quedarse con el puesto de prefecto. Todo va a depender de cuán bien lleve a cabo sus próximos casos investigativos, en donde destacará la muerte de “Sara Valdés”. De ahí que dicho enigma policial se convierta en la gran obsesión de su carrera.

Raúl Hoffmann, luego de su recordada participación en “Gemelas” (Chilevisión), vuelve al género con “Secretos de familia” para dar vida a “Heriberto Jara”, detective perteneciente a la Brigada de Homicidios y que será parte del caso de “Sara Valdés”, en donde pondrá lo mejor de él para llegar a la verdad. Es que ese es uno de sus grandes atributos y características: “Jara” siempre quiere que se sepa la verdad y que se haga justicia. Es caballero, sensible y muy amigo de su compañera de labores “Sofía Campos”.

Cierra el grupo de policías, el jefe de todos, el prefecto “Óscar Zapata”, encarnado por Ramón Llao. Un hombre con experiencia y carácter que deberá lidiar con todos los conflictos que rodean al caso y también con los propios caracteres de su variado equipo de trabajo.

red wine stained lips, glitter you can't get out of the carpet, the warmth of a spotlight, towering over a crowd as you dance atop the bar, hands on your ankle begging you to come down, twelve missed phone calls from mom, mascara stained cheeks, butterflies in your chest, the thrumming of club music, a sparkler lit liquor bottle, hyper-fixating on a cellphone screen as you beg for a text to come through, making best friends in a nightclub bathroom, glitter pen scribbles in a journal, lighting a candle to make it all feel better, kissing your friends on the lips, clothes abandoned on a bedroom floor, being so-and-so's sister, knees bruised in the name of attention, & the false feeling of love.

scout was born into chaos. her father, a big shot developer in palo alto, had gotten his mistress pregnant and thus his first marriage ended officially just days before scout popped out of the womb. hated by some from her very first breath.

she never did get to see her father in a functional relationship. the first one deteriorated before she was born, then her own mother got thrown to the curb before scout had the chance to enter preschool, ditched for a younger, more naïve version. but even the third wised up to her father's ways, beating him to the divorce-punch come inklings of yet another affair. three marriages. a kid each.

scout couldn't say much of her half-siblings relationship to their shared father, but her? it was like screaming to a void. nothing came in return.

as if her parental problems weren't already shaky enough, the mother situation felt like trauma three-fold. first, the one that saw her as destruction. next, her own, there but only just. after all, it was hard to look at the spitting image of your worst heartbreak. and then came the last, the outlier. the one scout struggled to accept, struggled to like despite herself. funny how that third wife was the one that tried to include her most.

her youngest sibling had gotten into showbusiness young enough, becoming a childhood star in the midst of elementary school. it was something cool for awhile, something scout even bragged about... until the fame increased and it wasn't some fun fact. suddenly she was so-and-so's sister, not scout. always living adjacent to a fictional character, too beloved for people to turn off their blinders.

whilst supporting her sibling(s)— always content at sitting in the wings reading a book as the camera rolled, even the first to offer up running lines— scout could only handle so much of being overlooked. the only way she knew how to shine despite not being the star of the family was to become the problem. everyone liked a project, right? she wasn’t so invisible when they had to come pick her up off of the front steps of her apartment, unsuccessful in getting her keys to “work” after knocking back countless shots. or when there was video evidence of her dancing on the bar at moon. or that one time she’d called from jail. a misunderstanding, really.

scout self-identifies as a mess. she may be chaotic, but she's not delusional. she'll warn you too. 'proceed with caution.'

before you ask, yes, she has tried therapy. in fact, she's in it now, though the lady isn't who she'd've picked. but, you know, daddy's money. scout's true therapy sessions are poured into her journal: a collection of poems, collages, and diary entries. she's always been a creative but it's been an art she's held to her chest. there are times when therapy sessions come as drunk bathroom chats in the club or 3am soul sessions on a battered couch while passing a bong. scout isn't shy about her feelings or her issues. she knows she has them, fairly obvious too.

it was her frequent club hopping that landed her at envy as a bottle girl. she'd been working the day shift at verdure before, surviving mostly off the brunch shifts and money from her father ( one of the only ways he shows care ). then after a particular night out, the urge of another bottle girl, some tequila, and a sense of "fuck it", scout applied. she was showing off sparkler-adorned bottles of belvedere a few days later. mixing business with pleasure. fun some days, toxic the next.

skateboarding is her main form of transportation. it became a personality trait after she rewatched sleepover in her twenties and saw julie in that red dress being the epitome of cool. does she have her license? yes. car? no. should she be trusted behind the wheel? hard no. she's befriended too many curbs and panics come merging. when it comes to the road, scout is very much a passenger princess. it's better for everyone that way.

scout is a crier. and she’s not too shy about it. in fact, she has been known to openly get her groceries with mascara stains still on her cheeks. but sometimes a bitch just needs to get her emotional support cheez-its.

one of her few commonalities with her father is hockey. it was the sport that captured his interest back in the day, the first one he'd seen live after immigrating. red wings versus the bruins. that game determined their rival as a household years and years on. scout grew up on the red and white, on the shared glow of the television screen, on the play-by-plays from her father— hockey always remaining the time he spoke to her most.

scout lived in and around palo alto for most of her childhood before moving to hidehill for the first time at fourteen when her father opted a go at nashville— thinking "a change might do him good." that change lasted all of three years and then it was off to LA. showbusiness baby. scout left to ASU under the pretense of getting an education... only to drop out within her third year. she's tried her own hand at acting after that with no luck. she took a hop, step, and a jump before landing in new york. an unfortunate roommate situation had her retreating to hidehill ( by grace of that third wife ) within 6 months. despite liking hidehill, scout was a girl that couldn't sit still and so she took off again and for two years bounced between guest rooms, special friends beds, and hotel rooms before her father's guest house in LA became home. it was when she started to feel her roots begin to dig into the soil that scout packed her suitcase once more. then it was hidehill. again. a questionable choice given the latest happenings but it was the closest thing she had to home on the east coast. and scout needed some sense of belonging [ in short... PALO ALTO to HIDEHILL to LA to TEMPE to LA to NYC to HIDEHILL to TRAVELING AROUND to LA to HIDEHILL ] girly made moves.
